Eighton Banks has been my home for the last 34 years, moving to the area when I was 6 months old. Upon purchasing my first home, I wanted to stay in the area because it is a lovely place to raise a family.
I joined the Parish Council in March 2021 as I am passionate about the area and would like to be able to make a difference within the community.
One of my biggest achievements is when I took part in Metro Radio’s Inca Trek in 2011, raising £3,500 for Cash for Kids.
In my spare time I am a member of Birtley Community Theatre, an amateur theatre group specialising in musical theatre. We perform two big shows a year and try and make both the group and the shows as accessible as possible. I also do some volunteering at The Mount Community Association, a charitable organisation that runs community events, from time to time.
