Christopher Betts
I was brought up in North London and after moving around the country I have now lived in Kibblesworth for over 20 years. I particularly enjoy the open spaces where I go walking with my wife on the common.
I regularly litter pick in the Moormill Lane/Greenford/Kibblesworth Bank area and have helped in painting the community seats.
After a teaching career I was elected to the Parish Council in Cockermouth and served as Deputy Mayor for a year giving me useful experience of working with local councils. I am currently Treasurer of Gateshead Local History Society.
During my time in the North East I have been deeply involved in athletics at Gateshead Harriers and as Secretary of the North East Counties Track committee where I produce minutes and an Annual Report.
I now look for new challenges in my own locality.
