I have lived in Gateshead all my life and have been married to my wife Mary for the past 43 years. I have worked in the parish since 1990 at Eighton Banks Village Hall, first as a youth worker then as a volunteer. I joined the Parish Council in September 2022 and represent the Eighton Banks Ward.
I studied at Northumbria University, followed by my PHD in Education at the University of Sheffield, I now teach for Sunderland University and Keel University in Educational Studies.
I love to go on Cruises with my wife Mary which means we can see the world and enjoy life to the full.
I am very interested in supporting the community activities in the Eighton Banks Area and enjoy being on the Village Hall Committee where I have been chair person for the past five years.
