Death of HRH the Duke of Edinburgh

The Royal Family joined with people around the world in mourning HRH the Dukeof Edinburgh releasing the following statement.

It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle.


Kibblesworth has continued to rise to the challenge of keeping the village a safe and happy place to live during the pandemic, with residents arranging everything from socially distancing street bingo to collecting toiletries for the local residential homes.

A special thank you goes out to the following for their continued support to the community.

Tracey Parker – for making hundreds of face masks/PPE  for local hospitals, care homes and residents as well as collecting toiletries and cash to be used for personal care needs for the local residential homes.



Thandi’s Village Store for their continued support in providing essentials to everyone whilst delivering  to the vulnerable and those struggling to get out to shop.


Guiseppe’s  Italian Bistro who have provided the take away and delivery service of restaurant quality foods.



Northern Print Solutions who have provided and supported the village in celebrating VE 75th anniversary day.

And last but by far not least –  Micky Dunn, Paul Clark and Richard Lowery – who took it upon themselves to cut the grass verges around the village keeping it tidy for those who are unable to keep their areas tidy during the time the Council are not cutting grass. A fantastic job lads much appreciated by Kibblesworth. Keep it up if you can

Due to the latest Government advice regarding the Corona virus outbreak we will be amending our trading hours from Wednesday 25th March:

Monday to Sunday: 8am until 7pm until further notice.

Post Office cut of for Parcels and Letters will be 5:30pm but cash withdrawal will still be available during store trading hours.

For the safety of our customers and staff we are only permitting 4 customers in the store at any one time.

Can we please ask that only one member per family enters the store at a time and if possible children can be accompanied by an adult.

Can the younger kids please not come into the store in groups, and only come in if necessary and limit visits

We will be asking all customers were practically possible to keep two meters apart.

Can we please advise that only pick up Items that you intend to buy.

If there are any Key workers that need to be at work earlier please let us know and we will let you in earlier

Delivery is still available to the Elderly and pregnant Women just call on 0191 410 7323
